I’m in Japan working on a book about Filipino migrant labor in Tokyo, and I contacted Moses in the hopes that he could organize a tour that might offer a glimpse of Filipino life in the city. Moses more than delivered: he took me to several Filipino-owned businesses (grocery stores, restaurants, etc.), the Philippines embassy, introduced me to his Filipino co-workers, etc. We also took time out to have an all-you-can-eat Filipino dinner (including karaoke!). But the best part of the tour was getting to know Moses, who is an incredibly warm, friendly, and thoughtful person, who shared his own insights and experiences living in Tokyo. We started the day heading to Mt Fuji from Tokyo. A public holiday. What a traffic jam for 40 km. Moses was calm and smooth. So many examples of just how well he knew the area. Such a special Lunch. Moses had planned the route in meticulous detail breaking it down into achievable bite size chunks. We shared the lead to keep the pace, stopping for water and the most spectacular views. Thank you, Moses, for bringing my mother and I to explore Kamakura and Enoshima island. Moses suggested to start the tour early and we were able to visit some popular tourist spots before the crowd arrived. Moses was amazing. He helped plan my trip to make it work well for us. I went to Tokyo with my 13year old son and after spending a week in the city we planned a trip to Minikami in the mountains with Moses. It was amazing we went rafting - the rapids were not to big for us so it was perfect. We swam in the beautiful deep pools in the river and we went on the most amazing rope way to the top of a mountain. We then stayed the night in an ancient traditional ryoken which was incredible and bathed in the outdoor onsen. Moses was fun to be with, he was generous with my son and very accomodating when we changed plans when we needed to. This tour was the highlight of our whole trip to Japan. If you want to go hiking, experience nature and see the beauty beyond the tourist spots I would recommend booking with Moses 100% - than you for making our trip amazing.

My husband and I took our first trip to Tokyo and asked Moses to be our guide on the first day. He took us on an all day tour of many famous neighborhoods as well as hidden gems that aligned with our special interests. He was so kind and helped us to learn the train system so we would be prepared for the rest of our trip. The next day, Moses picked us up for a hike up one of Japan’s famous mountains. We felt immediately comfortable and welcomed and learned so much. Not only did Moses take wonderful photos, he also made us a video of our first few days that is truly a treasure.
